The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) recently announced that their Board of Directors approved the 2026 premium rates.
The average premium rate for Ontario businesses will be reduced to $1.23 per $100 of insurable payroll in 2026, down from $1.25 in 2025.
For Class G6 – Non-Residential Construction, the class rate will be $1.61 per $100 of insurable payroll. Your individual rate reflects your individual experience relative to your class.
The WSIB website has been updated to include information on the 2026 premium rates.
Businesses will be able to log in to the WSIB website to see their individual rate statements in early November. Again, your individual rate reflects your individual experience relative to your class.
The WSIB is also continuing to provide all WSIB-registered businesses with free access to vital health and safety resources through the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety’s Business Portal.
