Associate Partner Program Fiscal Year Alignment

At the 2025 Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) Annual General Meeting, the Board of Directors passed a motion to amend the current Associate Partner Program (APP) fiscal year end to be changed to align with the OGCA fiscal year end.

Background

The APP program has a current fiscal beginning on January 1 and ending December 31, of the given year.

The OGCA fiscal runs from July 1 to June 30, of the given year.

Next Steps for 2026

Due to this misalignment, the Board of Directors will rectify this with two invoices being issued to the APP in 2026.

The first invoice will be for a 6-month duration from January 1 to June 30, 2026. This invoice will be for half of the yearly membership dues.

The second invoice will be for the full year, from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. This invoice will be for the full year of membership dues.

Membership Fee and Annual Minimum Sponsorship Contribution

Becoming an APP member allows you access to OGCA events and multiple sponsorship opportunities. In addition to the membership fee, each APP member must also contribute at least $2,600 annually in sponsorship offerings for event(s) occurring within that fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th). This amount is referred to as the “Annual Minimum Sponsorship Contribution.”

 
 
 

Please note that the APP Annual Membership amount and the Minimum Annual Contribution may be amended pursuant to a direction of the Board.

APP members will have their sponsorship contributions recorded during the fiscal year, and should any member fail to provide the requisite threshold for annual sponsorship, that member will be given the opportunity to provide the Annual Minimum Sponsorship Contribution amount outside of a sponsorable event or be removed from the program. Members who do not meet the threshold will be invoiced at the end of May, and payment will be required within thirty (30) days to maintain their membership status. Members who are removed can re-apply for membership, but will be placed in the queue and allowed entry accordingly.

Event Sponsorships

APP members are always allotted the “first right of refusal” for sponsorship opportunities at all OGCA events. In order to be recognized as a sponsor at any OGCA event, the APP member must fully pay said sponsorship in advance of the event occurring. Only those APP members who provide full sponsorship payments prior to events occurring will be recognized as a sponsor at said event.

No partial payments will be accepted and no payment terms on sponsorships will be allowed.
