Autodesk has finalized the acquisition of ProEst, a cloud-based estimating platform that speeds and simplifies estimates, digital takeoffs, reporting, CRM, bid-day analysis and more. The company will integrate ProEst with Autodesk Construction Cloud, an end-to-end construction management platform that connects teams, data and workflows across the entire building lifecycle.
With the ability to import third-party costing databases, ProEst translates conceptual drawings, specifications and models into detailed material, labor and equipment costs with new levels of speed and accuracy. Its cloud-based platform gives customers access to project information anytime, anywhere, providing new levels of collaboration and connectivity. The acquisition will complement Autodesk Construction Cloud’s cost management capabilities and allow teams to track costs against estimates to provide greater project visibility and fiscal success.
Over the past several years, Autodesk has made significant investments in construction technology innovation, including the acquisition of Aurigo Software’s capital planning tools and Bridgit’s workforce allocation and resource planning solution. Autodesk also acquired Assemble, BuildingConnected, PlanGrid and Pype in technology investments that totaled more than $1.1 billion.
