OGCA Committees
General Contracting is a dynamic industry. It is continuously improving and expanding, and OGCA committees enable the association and its members to stay abreast of all the changes.
The OGCA has four standing committees:
Each committee is formed by volunteers from the OGCA membership, with the Board of Directors supplying at least one volunteer to each committee. You can click on the name of each committee to learn more about the activities and responsibilities involved.
The committees meet on a bi-monthly basis (more often if required) to discuss current issues, oversee progress on projects and decide on recommendations for future efforts. They also help to plan and organize special events hosted by the OGCA.
The OGCA makes use of Task Force Committees when special issues or projects arise. For example, the OGCA Handbook for Executives regarding the recent changes to the Construction Lien Act was guided by a task force committee, comprised of legal professionals from member firms, OGCA staff and a member of the Board of Directors. Joining a task force committee is an excellent introduction to how the OGCA has achieved and maintains its status as an industry leader.
